Postdoctoral Research Position
A postdoctoral research position is available at Dr. Park’s laboratory in the Department of Pathology at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Park’s laboratory is located in the Duke Cancer Institute (DCI), a collaborative powerhouse—audacious, evolving, unconventional—at the center of a world-renowned university and medical center. DCI unleashes the power of synchronous collaboration to create breakthroughs that rapidly transform the unimagined into the possible—to fuel a pace of discoveries and advances previously thought impossible.
Park laboratory is interested in
1. Understanding prostate cancer progression using our novel human epithelial cell transformation system.
2. Investigating the pathogenesis of prostate and other epithelial cancers using primary human cells with organoid culture, which will create novel pre-clinical disease models.
3. Identifying vulnerabilities in treatment-resistant cancers.
4. Developing novel therapies targeting oncogenic drivers and other disease vulnerabilities.
Educational Requirements: Doctorate (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in area directly related to field of research specialization required. A candidate who has experience with animal models and/or genomics/bioinformatics is strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants with other expertise will be also considered.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to work with collaborators at Duke
